 Most pen and ink sketches are not copyrighted, so they can be reproduced in any quantity.

Some interesting things have happened to John while he was drawing on location. Some years ago at Vashon Island, Washington, he was busy at his easel drawing an old barn in the middle of a field when he felt some thing breathing down his neck. When he turned round, several miniature horses were  behind him looking at the picture. On another occasion he was drawing a coastal scene in California early on a Sunday when a gentleman arrived dressed in white tuxedo, looking just like Colonel Sanders. He proceeded to set up an altar on the cliff top, and then waited for a group of people also dressed in white arrived by limousine. It turned out to be a wedding and he was the minister.

John Saville had an interesting job at the circus drawing pen and ink sketches of all the clowns for a children's coloring book.
